Woman 'robbed at gunpoint' while on Zoom call with co-workers

Three people have been arrested after a woman was robbed at gunpoint in her home while on a Zoom meeting.

Police in San Antonio, in the US state of Texas, said Adrian Guillen, 19, and a 15-year-old girl allegedly broke into the woman's home on June 18.

Guillen and the 15-year-old allegedly began to ransack the woman's home and threatened the woman with a gun, however the whole event was witnessed by the victim's colleagues.

Local news station WOAI reports at the time of the robbery, the woman was in her bedroom on a Zoom call and those on the call saw what was going on and contacted the woman's boss.

Guillen and the 15-year-old allegedly took several items from the woman, including a safe, before driving off with Jaime Trevino, 39.

Officers responded to the scene and told detectives they were able to track down the three suspects with the stolen property.

A police helicopter was monitoring the suspects from the air as they travelled from one stop to another.

At a secondary location, the three suspects were seen exiting the vehicle and began to unload the items they had allegedly stolen from the woman.

According to FOX News, the trio were about 20km away from the woman's home at a hotel and they allegedly began to crack open the safe.

Guillen, Trevino and the girl were successful in doing so and began taking out the contents of the safe.

Police then arrived on the scene and apprehended Guillen, Trevino and the 15-year-old girl without incident.

Fox News reported Guillen had a capital murder warrant before he was arrested for the robbery, and he has now been charged with aggravated robbery and theft.

Trevino was also charged with aggravated robbery and theft.
