Man charged over Melbourne casino shots

A Chinese national who allegedly fired a gun outside Melbourne's casino has been charged with drug and weapons offences.

The 27-year-old has been charged with possessing amphetamines and firearms and assault-related matters, police say.

He's due to appear in Melbourne Magistrates' Court on Friday morning.

A 26-year-old woman arrested with the man in South Yarra on Thursday was released without charge, pending further enquiries.

Witnesses reported hearing gunshots and seeing a man with a handgun on Power Street, near the Casino, about 4.15am on May 18.

A Bulleen man, 36, was treated for non-life threatening injuries after the shooting.
