'Just like the beach': Woman pictured sunbathing on grave in cemetery
A photo of a woman appearing to be sunbathing on a grave in a cemetery has stunned social media users.
The photo was reportedly taken in the Chip cemetery located in the Ampoi III neighbourhood in the city of Alba Iulia, in western Romania’s Alba county.
The woman is seen lying down on a towel, which has been placed on the stone cover of a grave, and reading a book.
She did not appear to be bothered by the graves surrounding her.
A reader sent the photo into news website Alba24, saying: "This is how people spend the day at midday in the cemetery, just like on the beach."
One social media user said "at least in the cemetery she avoids COVID".
Another person agreed, writing: "She's avoided crowded places.”
"Maybe under the concrete slab is the lady's husband and she wanted to go to the beach with him,” a third person suggested.
Alba24 identified the location of the photo as Chip cemetery, which is the second-largest in the city.
Two people were buried in the area where she was sunbathing and the tomb was made 13 years ago.
