Woman loses 90kg after ditching take-away food

A self-confessed takeaway addict has dropped 90kg and bought her dream house after ditching her fast food habit– saving $11,200 in less than a year.

Carolanne Logan, who is due to give birth to her first child with partner Rory Chapman, 27, in May 2019, shed 22 dress sizes from a 34 to a slim size 12 in 40 weeks.

Using the ‘one 2 one diet Cambridge Weight Plan’, which saw the chef eat just 800 calories a day, she slimmed from 158kg to exactly 69 kg.

“I felt disgusted with myself after seeing how much I was eating and all that money that was wasted on it too,” Carolanne said.

“I gorged on things like heavily buttered bread, sometimes six slices, and I was known for eating an entire cake in a single sitting as well as a whole tub of ice cream.

“Before, I was disgusted with myself for seeing not just how much I was eating but all the money that was wasted on it too.”

The 25-year-old, moved into her $285,900 three-bedroom first home in Peebles, Scotland in October 2018 after quitting her $1,200-a-month fatty food addiction allowed her to put an extra $11,000 towards her £20,000 house deposit in just 10 months.

“I put the money I would have spent aside and just monitored what Rory spent, it would have taken us both combined around two years to save that amount,” she added.

“Getting the mortgage felt incredible, by cutting out on spending so much – we managed to save the money between us both.

“We’ve been together for ten years now and thought we would be renting forever.”

Previously, Carolanne skipped breakfast before gorging on junk food throughout the day including family size bags of crisps, two litres of fizzy drinks, six slices of toast, full pots of ice creams and whole cakes every day.

She would always eat takeaways for dinner and regularly scoffed portion sizes big enough for four people.

But after overhauling her diet and reaching her goal weight, she now eats healthy home-cooked meals.

And the mum-to-be said while before she was unconfident and horrified by her eating habits, she is now bubbly and always complimented on her happy persona.
