Woman killed in horror crash that split car in three identified


Family and friends have paid tribute to a young Melbourne woman who died after her car split in three in a horrific crash.

Paige Dent, 25, died when the BMW she was driving hit a light pole and split in three on the Nepean Highway on Saturday about 5am.

It was described by police as one of the most devastating crashes they’d seen.

Ms Dent’s family are devastated by the accident.

Her father Michael said she had a “wicked sense of humour”.

“She was full of life and you just couldn’t stop her,” Mr Dent said.

It’s believed drugs, alcohol and speed played a part in the crash.

Investigations are ongoing to determine how fast she was going.
