After surviving the initial fall, the woman was struck by another car and died.

The driver of the second car and the woman’s husband stopped at the scene and called emergency services.

Police said the woman had been drinking but her husband had not.

In an unrelated incident, a third car crashed into a vehicle belonging to another person who had stopped to see if they could help.

“This [second] vehicle also stopped to try to help the woman. So the traffic behind them, they had to slam on their brakes and there was an accident that happened here,” Sergeant David Rose told ABC 13.

“Unfortunately, one of the drivers in that accident, unrelated to the fatality, left the scene and so we are investigating that accident as well.”
