Woman found with serious facial wounds on path

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was found on a footpath with serious facial injuries.

The victim, aged in her 60s, was found by members of the public on a path between Old Station Road and Glebe Way in Mendlesham at 08:15 GMT on 18 November.

Officers believed the woman was injured between 08:06 and 08:15.

Suffolk Police appealed for a male jogger who was in the area at the time and may have seen the incident to contact them.

The woman was found on the ground and attended hospital for her injuries.

Police described the jogger as skinny with dark hair or a dark hat and was wearing a white vest top and white shorts.

Officers said they were keeping an open mind about the circumstances.
