Woman 'embarrassed' after being asked to leave Bondi restaurant over her outfit

A woman has been left humiliated after she claims she was asked to leave a popular fish and chip restaurant in Sydney’s iconic Bondi Beach because of what she was wearing.

Martina Corradi, a tourist from Italy, asked people on Facebook whether what she wore to the restaurant was inappropriate after she went with her boyfriend on Thursday.

“The waitress as soon as I took a seat she said that I’m not well dressed and this is not acceptable to stay in a place like that,” she wrote.

“Me and my boyfriend looked at her and we didn’t know what to say. We were shocked.”

Ms Corradi added the waitress called the manager to back her up.

“I just want an opinion,” she wrote. “I don’t know, maybe I’m crazy.”

The restaurant’s website labels the venue’s vibe as “casual but chic”.

On Facebook, most people believed what Ms Corradi wore to the restaurant was fine.

“There is nothing inappropriate in this apparel. Sorry you were made to feel uncomfortable,” one man wrote.

One woman asked if management had ever walked the streets around Bondi Beach.

“No one wears clothes anyway,” she wrote. “Who cares.”

However, others suggested her outfit might have been a tad too revealing.

“Put your coat on and you should be fine,” one woman wrote.

Another added, “I think you forgot your shirt”.
