Woman eaten alive by pigs after seizure while feeding them in pen

A woman has been eaten alive by the pigs she was trying to feed in a shocking incident in Russia.

The 56-year-old woman, from Udmurtia in rural Russia, was in the pig pen on the family farm when she suffered a seizure, Russian media has reported.

Her husband, who had been feeling sick, had reportedly decided to turn in early for the night before he discovered her dead, according to the BBC.

When he woke the next day and could not find his wife, he went looking for her and discovered her body in the pen.

The unnamed woman’s body was reportedly covered in pig bites and she had died from blood loss.

She had been badly mauled around the face, ears and shoulders, Russian media reported.

A spokesperson for the country’s regional investigative committee said forensic experts had been requested to look into the case, News.com.au reported.

It will be their job to “establish all the circumstances and reasons for what had happened”.
