Woman critical after thrown from car in horrific crash

A woman has suffered serious head injuries after being ejected from a car in a crash in western Sydney involving three other people on Thursday night.

Neighbours heard a loud crash at the intersection of Waterloo and Rawson Roads in Greenacre around 10.30pm Thursday after a Lexus allegedly smashed into a Hyundai hatchback.

The force of that crash was so intense that a 25-year-old passenger in the hatchback was ejected from the car and sent flying onto the pavement.

She suffered serious head injuries and was rushed to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition.

Three passengers in the second vehicle were left trapped inside the Lexus, with emergency services spending hours working on the car before eventually freeing them.

Two of the male occupants were also rushed to Liverpool Hospital in critical conditions, while the female occupant in the Lexus remains in a stable condition.

Mandatory blood samples will be taken as police continue their investigations into the cause of the crash.
