Woman charged over illegal Vic brothel

A woman has been charged over the alleged operation of an illegal brothel in regional Victoria.

The 45-year-old from Hong Kong was arrested at a Shepparton motel on May 3 before being charged with knowingly living on the earnings of a sex worker and dealing in proceeds of crime.

"Any business or property owners who think their premises is being used for illegal sexual services should contact Shepparton police station," Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Paul Shortis said in a statement on Friday.

The 45-year-old woman has been bailed to appear in Shepparton Magistrates Court on July 13.
