Family in shock at 'unexpected tragedy' after woman accused of stabbing twin sister to death
A woman has been arrested and charged after allegedly stabbing and killing her identical twin sister.
Police were called to an apartment block in Camden in the US state of New Jersey on Saturday at 5.38am, according to Camden County Prosecutor’s Office.
A woman was found unconscious and officers believed she had been stabbed.
She was rushed to hospital and pronounced dead at 6.19am.
Amanda Ramirez, 27, was later arrested and charged with killing her identical twin sister Anna.
A GoFundMe page set up to pay for Anna’s funeral describes her death as an “extremely painful and unexpected tragedy”.
“She was a complete joy and one of the greatest gifts we have ever received,” the page reads.
“Sadly she was taken from us too soon.”
It adds the woman leaves behind three daughters, a “broken hearted mother” and “a family that adored her”.
Hours before her death, both sisters were pictured on what looks like outside a house in a photo Anna uploaded to Facebook. It was her last post.
“You know the vibe,” Anna wrote in the caption.
Her sister has been charged with first degree aggravated manslaughter.
