Woman accused of Adelaide police assault

A woman has allegedly assaulted a police officer after ploughing through two yards and slamming into a verandah while drink driving in Adelaide.

The 32-year-old Marleston woman is accused of assaulting the officer after her arrest and breath test shortly before 4am on Saturday, following a crash in Ashford where she allegedly crossed a median strip and travelled across two properties, leaving a trail of damage.

The woman has been bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on May 30 after being charged with multiple offences, including assault police and driving without due care, and has lost her licence for 12 months.
