A 21-year-old woman has been charged with murder after a man was stabbed to death in east London.

Umar appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

She was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on Wednesday (November 27).

Police were called shortly after midnight on Saturday, to reports of a man suffering stab injuries at Navenby Walk.

Met officers and paramedics from the London Ambulance Service attended and found Mr Geary suffering from stab injuries.

“He was taken to hospital, but sadly died from his injuries,” said a Met police spokesperson.

Two men, aged 45 and 23, and a 21-year-old woman were arrested at the address on suspicion of murder, but all three were later released without charge.

At 3am, police were made aware of another stabbing at a nearby address in Navenby Walk.

Police arrived to find a woman suffering stab injuries. She was taken to hospital and has since been released.

Officers arrested a 21-year-old woman, who was later charged with murdering Mr Geary on Monday and the attempted murder of the female victim.

Police say Mr Geary’s next-of-kin have been informed of his death, and a post-mortem has taken place.
