Wolves vs Man City: Premier League prediction, TV channel, live stream, team news, time, h2h

Manchester City begin their Premier League campaign this evening against Wolves.

Pep Guardiola's side face a difficult opening test against a Wolves side who clicked into gear immediately on the opening day of the season last weekend against Sheffield United.

2019-20's gruelling campaign and the short turnaround didn't look to have affected Nuno Espirito Santo' side - City will be hoping to replicate that.

Date, time and venue

Wolves vs Man City is scheduled for a 8:15pm BST kick-off on Monday, September 21.

This match will be played behind closed doors at Molineux with no fans due to be present due to government guidelines regarding coronavirus.

How to watch

TV channel: The match will be televised on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League, with coverage starting from 5pm.

Live stream: Sky Sports subscribers will be able to stream the match online via the website and SkyGo app.

Team news

Sergio Aguero will miss the start of the season after failing to recover from a knee injury.

The Argentinian is yet to take part in full training since breaking down in June and has been ruled out of Man City’s opening game against Wolves on Monday.

Pep Guardiola had hoped Aguero would be able to take part in the Champions League closing stages last month, but his recovery has taken longer than club medics expected.

City’s manager said: “He still hasn’t had one training session with us.”

It means Brazilian forward Gabriel Jesus is set to lead City’s attack as Guardiola’s only like-for-like back up.

Riyad Mahrez has been back in training this week after testing positive for Covid-19, but Aymeric Laporte, who also tested positive, is also out of the Wolves game.

New signings Nathan Ake and Ferran Torres, who arrived from Bournemouth and Valencia respectively, could both be involved .
