Win for tattooed, diamond-toothed influencer
A designer-clad bodybuilder and OnlyFans star with a mouthful of diamonds and a “Lamborghini body” has been cleared of assaulting a stranger and threatening to kill him.
Hossein Balapour, known to his legions of followers as Yakiboy, appeared in Burwood Local Court on Friday after pleading not guilty to assault, intimidation, and possession of suspected stolen goods.
He was due to fight the charges in a defended hearing, but the police prosecutor sensationally withdrew the three charges at the last minute.
Evidence did not support the police allegations that the bodybuilder had punched a stranger and threatened to shoot him during a party at a Persian restaurant in Sydney last year.
Mr Balapour was arrested over the allegations on November 23 after a dawn raid on his house uncovered $31,750 hidden inside two shoes.
Police suspected the stacks of $50 notes were stolen, but the 34-year-old maintained he had earnt the cash while working as a personal trainer, model, and OnlyFans content creator.
On Friday, his lawyer Abdullah Reslan told NCA NewsWire that he expected the confiscated money to be returned to Mr Balapour within the next few weeks.
The heavily tattooed 34-year-old grinned widely as the charges against him were dropped, revealing his distinctive diamond-encrusted teeth.
His love for designer labels was on full display in court as he wore a black Dior T-shirt, black pants and expensive Gucci sneakers.
Outside court, Mr Reslan told NCA NewsWire that his client was “very pleased with the outcome”.
“He is looking forward to the return of all property and currency seized,” the lawyer said in a short statement.
Mr Balapour has recently begun working as a fitness instructor at a North Sydney gym, but he continues to cultivate his social media presence.
The martial arts expert rose to prominence when he posted a nude photo of himself with only a pizza emoji to protect his modesty.
He has since gained a cult following, with more than 350,000 followers on Instagram and thousands of fans on X (formerly Twitter) and TikTok.
The fitness influencer regularly posts photos of himself partially nude and emphasising his heavily tattooed and muscle-bound physique.
He also makes the most of what he calls his “Lamborghini” body by creating racy content on the subscription platform OnlyFans.
Although the 34-year-old refused to tell police how much money he earnt from the site, it’s understood he charges subscribers $20 a month for access.
His online fans are treated to an insight into his lavish lifestyle, which involves countless luxury cars and selfies taken in Versace bed sheets next to a lamp made from a golden gun.
On Friday morning, devoted followers were treated to a cryptic and crooked photo of the Burwood Local Courthouse without a caption.
Despite the court win, Mr Balapour will return to court in December to fight separate charges related to a wild street brawl with another well-known bodybuilder.
