William and Harry to split royal household in a 'matter of weeks' in shock move

Having been attached at the hip for many years, brothers Prince William and Prince Harry are set to split their royal household.

To date, the young royals have operated as one, even sharing social media pages, but they’re about to create two different courts and become the Cambridges and the Sussexes, rather than Kensington royals – and according to The Sunday Times, it could happen in a “matter of weeks”.

Separating the Cambridges and the Sussexes

The rush to is supposedly due to the impending arrival of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s first child, and it’s hoped that creating two different courts will help “ease tensions”, according to the publication.

While the royal princes have shared a household for over a decade, times have changed since their roles within the establishment have altered.

“William and Harry’s double act has naturally been supplanted by the two couples and their families,” an alleged source close to the brothers told the publication.

The news of the reported split of Wills and Harry’s royal household comes after it was confirmed in November last year, Harry and Meghan were moving out of Kensington Palace.

The couple – who married in May last year – are moving out of London and into Frogmore Cottage on the Windsor Castle estate.

Until now, the Sussexes have lived in Nottingham Cottage – a two-bedroom house in the grounds of Kensington Palace, where the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also live.

William’s concerns for Harry

There have also been claims that things between William and Harry haven’t been the same since his royal nuptials to Meghan last year.

In a new documentary on Channel 5 in the UK, Princesses At War, royal expert Katie Nicholl weighed in on the moment Wills confronted Harry about his relationship with Meghan.

“William was quite concerned that the relationship had moved so quickly,” she explained.

She goes on to say that William, was “the only person close enough” to Harry to share his worries, and claimed the 36-year-old asked his brother if he was “sure” about going forward with the wedding.

“This seems to be moving quickly, are you sure?” Wills reportedly asked Harry.

Whilst Wills’ concerns were simply loving brotherly concern on his part, the royal expert explained the “advice just riled Harry”.

“Harry is hugely protective of Meghan, he saw that as criticism, he interpreted that as his brother not really being behind this marriage,” Nicholl added.
