The Two Pints Of Lager And A Packet Of Crisps actor is one of the celebs taking part in the new series of the BBC ballroom show but he has told fans that his knees are playing up.
Mellor – who has a history of knee trouble – posted a video on Instagram showing him breathing heavily as he iced his legs with peas.
"Just in rehearsal for Strictly," he told his followers.
"Will's knees sponsored by peas," Mellor, 46, quipped.
The star also confessed that he was feeling "knackered" ahead of the competition starting this weekend.
In the caption, he said his knees were "in shock", adding the hashtags "#toooldforthis", "#shattered" and "#badknees".
Judges Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke will return, but former judge Bruno Tonioli will not be back as he continues to focus on his US commitments with Dancing With The Stars.
The show was originally due to start last week but it was postponed by nearly a week to air after the Queen's funeral had taken place.
The series begins with the launch show, the only pre-recorded episode of the series, on 23 September.
The live shows will then begin as planned from Saturday, 24 September.
