Renee Gracie’s motorsport career was at a crossroads in 2017.

After the now 25-year-old first shot to Supercars prominence as one member of the first female duo to take on Mt Panorama back in 2015, Gracie’s career had failed to fire since.

She and Simona de Silvestro finished 18th at that history-making Bathurst 1000, following it up a year later with an impressive 14th placed finish.

But the first full-time female Supercars entrant was having a tough time pulling sponsors together.

A 2017 campaign in the Super2 Series yielded little - more or less forcing Gracie out of the sport.

That series was to be her last as a professional driver - and while her dream may not have worked out as it hoped, Gracie says she now doesn’t miss the racing grind thanks to her new career in the adult entertainment industry.

“It has been the best thing I have done in my whole life,” Gracie told News Corp Australia.

“It has put me in a financial position I could never have dreamt of and I really enjoy it.

"I am fine with whatever they want to call me. I am earning good money and I am comfortable with where I am at.”

Despite a promising early career, Gracie said it had come of something of a relief to no longer be chasing sponsorship money to get on the grid, instead focusing on her own goals.

"I wasn't getting the results and couldn't get the funding,” Gracie said.

“I tried to do my best but it got to a point where my dream vanished.”

After some time spent working in a car yard, Gracie decided to begin her new career - and it seems unlikely that she’ll be looking back any time soon.
