Annalise had a pretty dodgy fling with Lou Carpenter (she was 17, he was in his 50s), during her early 90s stint on the show and latterly, Davies became the object of Ross Gellar’s desire in an episode of Friends. She snogged him in a flashback from college in 'The One Where The Stripper Cries’ in 2004. Davies also appeared in episodes of Ally McBeal and Early Edition, and took part in the 2005 series of I'm A Celebrity. She still acts on occasion, and is now a mum of three.

Peter O'Brien - Shane Ramsay

Among the dynastic royalty of Ramsay Street, Shane Ramsay had it all. The streaky, spiked hair-do, the surfer good looks and the Ramsay name itself. Since those days, O'Brien has booked work in shows like Casualty, Gossip Girl and Doctor Who. He also pitched up in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, alongside countryman Hugh Jackman. He'll be one of the returning cast members for the Neighbours finale.

Post-Neighbours, Valance followed the Minogue route to stardom, releasing the worldwide pop hit 'Kiss Kiss’. However, she also became embroiled in a legal battle with another ex-Neighbours star, Scott Michaelson who played Brad Willis, after firing him as her manager. Then it was back to the acting game, appearing in video game adaptation D.O.A.: Dead Or Alive, followed by other roles in TV show Prison Break and Liam Neeson punch-a-thon Taken, in which she played a popstar. She also appeared on Strictly and lives in the UK with her husband Nick Candy and their two daughters.

Baby-faced Billy Kennedy performed something of a career slam-dunk following his departure from Neighbours after 460 episodes, landing a plumb role in the Hugh Laurie vehicle House. It was a springboard into a second long-running series, the procedural Chicago Fire, in which he played Lt. Matthew Casey. He’s also appeared in its spin-offs Chicago P.D. and Chicago Med.

Probably the soap's biggest ever star, Kylie swapped acting for pop stardom after leaving Erinsborough and has gone on to become internationally famous with hits spanning four decades. Her trophy cabinet includes Grammys, Brits and ARIAs, she's been a judge on The Voice UK and The Voice Australia, and she starred in Baz Luhrmann's Moulin Rouge!. His notable West End roles have included Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Sweeney Todd and Priscilla Queen of the Desert. Donovan has also taken part in UK reality shows I'm A Celebrity, Strictly and Dancing On Ice. He has three children and lives in the UK, and can be seen back for the finale of Neighbours alongside Kylie.

Dale was reportedly written out as Ramsay Street patriarch Jim after being overheard complaining about the soap's wages. However, he had the last laugh as his career since has included roles in the US in The O.C., Ugly Betty, Dynasty and Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Guy Pearce - Mike Young

Pearce's early role in the soap paid off as he's enjoyed some incredibly high-profile Hollywood jobs since then. His film career has included L.A. He recently starred in acclaimed TV series Mare of Easttown and is back on Ramsay Street for the final episode.

Tom Oliver - Lou Carpenter

Born in Hampshire, Tom Oliver moved to Australia and joined the cast of Neighbours as rogue-ish car dealer Lou Carpenter in 1988. He was the show's longest serving character, but in 2015 he announced he was scaling back his appearances, only appearing occasionally as a guest. He retired from the soap in 2016.

Many a soap star dreams of finding a way in to Hollywood from their early TV roles, but few manage it quite so successfully as Robbie. After a post-Neighbours role in US series Pan-Am, she broke into movies and shot to fame for her role alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in Martin Scorsese's Wolf of Wall Street. She's been nominated for Oscars for I, Tonya and Bombshell, and starred as Harley Quinn in Birds of Prey and Suicide Squad. Next year, Robbie will play Barbie in a film about the doll alongside Ryan Gosling as Ken.
