‘We both lost control’: Boyfriend hands himself into police after fatal sex romp

WARNING - GRAPHIC CONTENT: A heartbroken boyfriend has handed himself into local authorities after allegedly choking his girlfriend to death during a particularly rough sex session in a hotel in which he said “we both lost control”.

The body of a 42-year-old woman, named in reports as Gabriela, was found in the Alondra Hotel in Durango City located in the state of Durango in central Mexico on Sunday 27th October by cleaning staff.

Local media reported that her body did not present any wounds that would have indicated a struggle but did show signs of asphyxiation.

Her 44-year-old boyfriend, named Ricardo, reportedly turned himself in to the authorities on Tuesday 29th October but spoke with local media beforehand, saying: “I am voluntarily turning myself in because I do not feel good, my conscience will not let me (feel good).

“I feel very bad emotionally because she and I have a son.”

The age or identity of the son has not been reported by local media.

According to the accused, the death resulted in a consensual exchange that got out of hand.

“We both lost control this weekend. We always had rough sex, we both liked sadomasochism. Sometimes we had choking sex, she would do it to me and I would do it to her,” he said.

“I do not know what happened this weekend, we went out of control.”

Ricardo claimed the two had been a couple for "19 or 20 years" although they were not married and did not live together.

They reportedly stayed in hotels around the city where they would engage in rough sexual activity.

It was unclear on Friday whether the suspect had been charged.
