WATCH: Passenger's stomach-churning behaviour on AirAsia flight

This is the stomach-churning moment a young airplane passenger annoyed other fliers when he was seen picking dried skin from his feet.

Jade Thomas and her boyfriend Trong Nguyen were onboard an AirAsia flight from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to Hanoi, Vietnam, on Sunday afternoon when they noticed the young passenger across the aisle without his shoes and socks on.

Footage filmed by Ms Thomas shows the passenger, wearing a surgical mask to protect himself, place his feet on the edge of his seat and the fold out table in front before picking the dried skin from his feet and dropping it on the floor.

He continues to pick the fluff under his toenails, oblivious to the hygiene problems it could cause for other flyers on the packed Airbus A320.

Ms Thomas, originally from Queensland, said she saw the man picking his feet and ”felt sick”.

”I was returning from a trip to Bali with my boyfriend,” she said.

”During the flight, we also observed some poor behaviour that is not uncommon on these kinds of flights.

”There was shouting, loud burping, not following requests of airline staff, for example, everybody stood up and started getting their hand luggage before the seatbelt sign had been switched off.”

But she said none of the behaviour from other passengers came close to that of the young male who was sitting across from her.

Ms Thomas had been in Bali, Indonesia, before flying to Kuala Lumpur to catch a flight onto her home in Vietnam, as there are no direct flights from Bali.

The unhygienic act comes after another passenger was caught in March placing her feet on top of the fold out table in front of her.
