Watch live: House GOP leaders speak after Trump visit, elections

House Republicans are set to hold a press conference on Wednesday afternoon following President-elect Trump’s visit to Capitol Hill.

The GOP is likely to be taking a victory lap, as House Republicans swept races for the White House, House and Senate.

During his remarks Wednesday, Trump jokingly said he wanted to nominate 15 Republican lawmakers for his Cabinet.

GOP leaders had already raised the alarm about the president-elect’s Cabinet picks coming from the House — which so far include House Republican Chair Elise Stefanik (N.Y.) as ambassador to the U.N. and Mike Waltz (Fla.) as national security adviser — because of the razor-thin margin of their House majority.

The presser is expected to begin at 4 p.m. EST.
