Watch live: Biden speaks at Veterans Day ceremony

President Biden and Vice President Harris will participate in a Veterans Day wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

The event in Arlington, Va., is the first time Biden and Harris, along with their spouses, will be together since the election. It is the second public appearance for Harris after she lost the election to President-elect Trump. She conceded in remarks in Washington on Wednesday.

Monday’s wreath-laying ceremony will be followed by remarks from Biden at the Memorial Amphitheater.

Biden is scheduled to speak at 11:15 a.m. EST.

TAIPEI (Reuters) -China is deploying its largest navy fleet in regional waters in nearly three decades, posing a threat to Taiwan that is more pronounced than previous Chinese war games, the Taiwanese defence ministry said on Tuesday. Speaking in Taipei, defence ministry spokesperson Sun Li-fang said the scale of the current Chinese naval deployment in an area running from the southern Japanese islands down into the South China Sea was the largest since China held war games around Taiwan ahead of 1996 Taiwanese presidential elections.
