Want to win $30m? Luckiest numbers revealed ahead of 2019's last lotto draw

Lotto’s final $30 Million Megadraw for the year is known for creating more millionaires than any other and the experts have revealed the most likely numbers that could be drawn.

The last lottery of the year, to be drawn on December 28, has historically created more millionaires than any other – so it’s no surprise that up to one in three Australian adults are likely get their hands on a ticket.

In the remaining hours leading up to Saturday’s draw, more than 1200 tickets a minute are expected to be sold in store and online at the peak of sales.

Last year the Saturday Lotto $30 million Megadraw created 15 overnight millionaires, who each walked away with $1,764,705.89. It also saw two division one winning syndicates share a life-changing windfall.

“The countdown is on until the draw that famously creates more millionaires than any other,” The Lott spokesperson Lauren Cooney said.

The lucky lotto numbers

While Lotto officials stress that every number has an equal chance of being drawn in Saturday Lotto, they have revealed the most frequently drawn numbers in the past 35 years.

The most frequently drawn, or ‘hot’, numbers are 1, 8, 11, 7 and 40.

The least frequently drawn, or ‘cold’ numbers are 44, 17, 35, 14 and 30.

“Either way, if you have a ticket in your hand, you’re in with a chance,” Ms Cooney said.

How to get a ticket

Tickets can be purchased at any licensed lottery outlet, online from thelott.com or via the Lott mobile app before the draw close at 7.30pm AEST.

Ms Cooney recommends registering your entry to a player’s card to keep your possible winnings safe.

“This means your prize is secure and we can call you with the amazing news should you be holding a division one winning entry,” she said.
