'It's put a lot of fear into her': Hearing impaired woman savagely mauled by dog
WARNING, CONFRONTING IMAGES: A pet dog that mauled a partially deaf neighbour has been seized by rangers after allegedly biting the woman five times.
The mauling was so bad the 55-year-old Perth woman required plastic surgery and has spent the last two days recovering at Fiona Stanley Hospital.
Her family is furious the animal wasn't removed until two days after the attack.
The dog allegedly responsible for the attack, a mastiff, is named Chaos.
His owners could be seen sobbing as rangers took the dog away on Monday.
"I want the council to destroy the dog," the victim's brother Nigel said. "It's a harm to the public here and the neighbourhood."
The victim, who is hearing-impaired, was gardening in the front yard of her Langford home on Saturday when she says the dog ran at her 92-year-old father.

Her father says he hit the animal with a walking stick, then it went for her, before the dog's owners eventually pulled the mastiff away.
"I think it has put a lot of fear into her of dogs," Nigel said of the vicious attack.
"She loves dogs very much."
The City of Gosnells says if there's enough evidence it will prosecute the dog's owners.
It will then be up to a magistrate to decide if the dog should be destroyed.
