P-plater allegedly fails breath test after crashing car with two children inside
A P-plate driver has allegedly failed a breath test after crashing near Bindoon in WA with two children, aged two and three, in the car.
The 32-year-old driver's face was badly cut in the crash on the Great Northern Highway at approximately 9am on Monday morning.
Incredibly, the three-year-old girl and two-year-old boy who were also in the car weren't hurt at all.
The purple Daihatsu Charade crossed onto the wrong side of the highway, hit a tree and rolled.
The man was taken to hospital with facial injuries.
Police are investigating whether alcohol was a factor in the crash.
“Take care on the roads - this could have been much worse,” Gingin Police tweeted.
Seven News has been told the driver allegedly failed a roadside preliminary breath test.
Police also received calls from members of the public who were concerned about the way the man was driving before the accident.
They are asking anyone who saw the Daihatsu as it drove south out of Bindoon on Monday morning to contact them.
