Man tries to lure eight year old girl into car with dad metres away

A Perth father says he was only metres away when a stranger tried to lure his little girl into a car.

The Safety Bay dad says a man pulled up alongside his eight-year-old, who was waiting in a car at a service station, and started blowing her kisses.

The little girl was wearing one of her favourite Mickey Mouse jumpers when she was targeted by the predator.

Her father Tim has asked us not to reveal her identity, terrified the attacker hasn't been caught.

Tim went to a Meadow Springs petrol station last Thursday around 5pm to buy his eight-year-old an ice cream.

As he lined up to pay he noticed a blue Ford Falcon pull up next to his car.

Tim ran out and the man drove off, but then followed them as they drove to the nearby shopping centre.

Police believe it's the same man who's been reported watching young girls play on swings at a Meadow Springs park.

It's not the only predator scare that has police worried.

They are also hunting a group of men over the indecent assault of a 16-year-old girl in nearby Erskine.

She was walking home alone on Friday through Peelwood Reserve when one of the men grabbed her by the wrists and touched her inappropriately.
