Alan Joyce pie faced over Qantas' gay marriage stance
The man who shoved a lemon meringue pie into Alan Joyce's face isn't a disgruntled frequent flyer but a devout Christian who objects to the CEO using Qantas to promote gay marriage.
Tony Overheu read a statement on Perth radio station 6PR in which he criticised Qantas and other companies including Airbnb, Wesfarmers and Holden for promoting same-sex marriage, which he described as "corporate bullying aimed at social engineering".
It has been reported by News Corp that Mr Overheu is a former Nationals candidate, senior member of the Church of Christ, and national director of the WA branch of the Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship International.

Mr Joyce was keynote speaker at a business breakfast in Perth's exclusive Hyatt Regency hotel, when he was approached by a man wearing a suit, who pushed the pie into his face.
Mr Joyce, whose face, suit jacket, shirt and tie were covered in cream, then left the room to clean himself up.
He received a round of applause from the packed room when he returned without his jacket and joked about the incident, before resuming his speech spruiking the national carrier's recently announced direct flights to London.
