Uber driver racially abused waiting for passengers from Perth Justin Bieber concert
An Uber driver who was waiting to pick up customers from Perth’s Justin Bieber concert has been racially abused in a shocking rant caught on camera.
Deep Singh says he is too frightened to show his face after he was targeted in the racial attack.
The video shows a man yelling “get out of our country” and “f*** off back to India” as Mr Singh waited for the Bieber concert to finish on Monday night.
“I was a bit shocked, the guy came from nowhere and it was totally unprovoked,” Mr Singh said.
The 25-year-old driver said he had been at Caltex in Highgate when the man unleashed the five-minute verbal attack, and threatened Mr Singh with a walking stick.
The racial attack then turned threatening, with the man lashing out.
“I’ll cut your throat,” the man can be heard saying.
"I'll boot the f*** out of you.
"And I'll watch you die."
A member of the public heard the racial rant and phoned police.
But Mr Singh said when officers arrived; they weren’t interested in the vision.
A WA Police spokesperson said officers did a patrol of the area but could not locate the man.
Anyone who can identify the man, should call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
