Woman charged after allegedly abusing disabled boy in her care

A 17-year-old boy with cerebral palsy has allegedly been denied food and water while under the full-time care of a relative in Perth.

WA Police say the boy, who cannot speak and requires a computer to communicate, used a camera on his wheelchair to film the woman repeatedly verbally and physically abuse him.

A 42-year-old Armadale woman has been charged with an act or omission causing bodily harm.

Fremantle detectives allege the boy was verbally and physically abused on a number of occasions.

It was also alleged the teenager's physical needs were also neglected, and at times he was denied food and water.
