Three men have been charged in Western Australia after a man was seriously injured after being hit with the butt of a firearm and a golf club.
WA police say the attack was one of three incidents allegedly involving the trio in the city of Mandurah southwest of Perth on Monday night.
Shots were fired at phone box in Dudley Park about 8pm then a group armed with a gun, a tomahawk and a golf club forced their way into a Coodanup home and fired more shots.
A female occupant ran from the property but a man was allegedly hit with the butt of the gun, had rounds fired at his feet, was struck with a golf club then stabbed with a broken weapon.
The man suffered serious injuries, including broken bones and a punctured lung.
Around 10pm the same group broke into a Meadow Springs home and fired another shot and attacked a resident with a baseball bat.
Three men, aged 25, 26 and 32, were arrested on Tuesday and have each been charged a number of violations including serious firearm offences, home burglary, assault and other offences relating to the three incidents.
They were refused bail and are due to appear in Perth Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
