WA driver charged after teens hit, injured

A 48-year-old man has been charged after he allegedly struck three teenage pedestrians in Perth, leaving two of the boys with life-threatening injuries.

The 15 and 16-year-old boys were rushed to Royal Perth Hospital while a 12-year-old boy escaped injury after the man's BMW SUV hit them as they stood on a traffic island in Midvale on Tuesday night.

The man has been charged with two counts of dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm and two counts of failing to report after traffic incident where grievous bodily harm has occurred, and is due to face court on Thursday.
