Shark filmed darting between father and daughter on popular beach
A waterproof camera has filmed a close encounter of the finned and toothy kind on a popular beach in New Zealand.
Video uploaded to YouTube by Gina Homer shows just how close she and her father came to a shark while they were testing out their new GoPro camera last month.
The video shows Gina asking her dad to film her going under water, before the pair resurface just in time to see an ominous fin pierce the surface.
In a flash, it is gone but the video appears to show the shark dart back between Gina and her dad.
Unsurprisingly, the father and daughter appear to be making for the beach as quickly as possible after the frightening sighting.
According to Gina’s Facebook page, her father came much closer to the animal than a mere sighting though.
“We were swimming with our new go pro hero 4 silver (sic) just bought yesterday when my father got hit by way shark (sic),” she wrote.
