Dance floor collapses during Guns N' Roses' 'Sweet Child of Mine'

Partygoers in the US were rocked when the dance floor they were jumping on to Guns N' Roses collapsed beneath them.

Cover band Queens Blvd. was thrashing through the hair metal epic "Sweet Child of Mine" in St Louis, Missouri, and the crowd was loving it.

The band was just getting through the bridge with everyone singing in chorus with "Where do we go now" in the video posted to YouTube on Monday.

The crowd was ready for the crescendo when the frontman said: "This is the fun part."

As the guitar solo kicked in, everyone threw up their hands and started jumping on the dance floor.

Then the floor collapsed and the crowd tumbled into the centre on top of each other.

It was perfectly timed with the wail of the guitar.

Amid the screams and panic, the band stopped playing and began to help people off the floor and onto the stage.
