The man involved in the steamy office sex romp that was caught on video and went viral online is reportedly fighting to keep his job at the insurance firm.

A bar full of patrons witnessed the couple’s escapades as they got down to business in the Christchurch office last month, with pictures and video of their tryst gaining traction online and soon making headlines around the world.

The incident left the company, Marsh Ltd, less than impressed. It soon identified the pair and is investigating.

Now the man involved in the encounter, aged in his 40s and married with two children, is fighting to keep his job, according to The New Zealand Herald.

He has been told by the company not to comment, but according to an insider quoted by The New Zealand Herald, he is fighting ‘tooth and nail’ to save his senior management position.

"There are a lot of legal difficulties that Marsh are having to go through, and they are going to take their time,” the insider is quoted as saying.

"But [he] is hoping that he can return in some capacity to a job that he loves."

Meanwhile, another source says Marsh Ltd want him out.

"The question is, can the guy get another job without having to expose his past error,” the source reportedly said.

The female employee, who is also engaged, has been keeping a low profile, but her partner has defended her, saying she is ‘a really nice person, she never made any mistakes’.
