Adelaide Hills toilet cameras stolen

Security cameras that caused community outrage last week after being installed in toilet blocks in the Adelaide Hills have been stolen.

They were placed inside male, female and disabled toilets, aimed at reducing vandalism, but local residents were furious about the move.

The local council defended the move, saying it had dramatically reduced crime, and they were not located in a position where there was an invasion of privacy.

But users said they were worried the cameras would film them in compromising positions.

Police have now released the security footage of the suspects, taken by the cameras before they were pinched.
