Casualties Reported Following Attack on Save the Children Office in Jalalabad

At least two people were killed and 12 others wounded after a suicide attacker and a number of gunmen attacked a Save the Children office in Jalalabad, Afghanistan, on January 24, TOLO News reported.

The dead included a civilian and member of the security forces, the outlet said.

TOLO News also reported that two gunmen were killed in clashes with security forces, and that the fighting was ongoing.

It was not clear if those injured included employees of the Save the Children organization. The charity tweeted a statement confirming the attack and expressing concern for the safety of its staff.
