Firefighter Feeds Water to Cockatoo While Fighting Bushfire
Frefighters stopped to feed a thirsty cockatoo as they fought a bushfire burning near Taralga, New South Wales, in footage published by the Rural Fire Service on Wednesday, January 24.
On January 22, firefighters were supported by the DC10 Nancy Bird aircraft in battling the blaze near Bannaby and Taralga. On January 24, the Goulburn Post said some areas of the fire had been controlled after back-burning was conducted overnight but road closures remained in place.
