Dramatic video captured by Hans van den Hoevel shows planes struggling to land at Dusseldorf Airport during Storm Friederike on January 18.

The video shows several passenger planes battling the strong wind before finally touching down on the runway.

A spokesperson for Eurowings flight EW9141 from Westerland in Sylt to Dusseldorf, seen from the beginning to 58 seconds in this video, issued a statement saying that 68-seat Bombardier Dash 8 turboprop landed safely and the well-being of the passengers and crew on board was never compromised, according to news reports.
