Satellite Images Show Smoke Rising From Southern California Wildfires

Officials in Southern California warned that powerful winds would continue to elevate fire danger across the region on December 7, as firefighters struggled to contain a number of wildfires.

Cal Fire said winds could reach 80mph in some areas. At least six active wildfires were burning in Southern California on December 6, local reports said, forcing thousands to evacuate.
