Las Vegas Officer Killed During Concert Shooting Laid to Rest

A Las Vegas police officer killed during the Mandalay Bay shooting was remembered during a funeral on Friday, October 20.

Charleston Hartfield, an 11-year veteran of the force, was attending the Route 91 Harvest Festival when he was shot and killed along with 57 others. More than 500 people were injured.

A police motorcade accompanied the vehicle carrying Hartfield’s body to the church in Henderson. He was to be buried at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City following the service.
