Edmonton Police Officer Rammed, Stabbed in Suspected 'Terror Incident'

An Edmonton, Canada, police officer directing traffic near Commonwealth Stadium was injured on September 30 after a man in a white Chevrolet Malibu rammed into the officer, got out of the car and stabbed him several times before fleeing on foot.

Police believe the suspect is a 30-year-old man, according to police, and he was later recognized at a police checkpoint at the intersection of Wayne Gretzky Drive and 112 Avenue in a rented U-Haul truck. He fled once again and intentionally attempted to hit and injure at least 4 pedestrians. Police chased the man and arrested him after the U-Haul truck flipped over on Jasper Avenue. An Islamic State flag was found in the Chevrolet Malibu, according to the Edmonton Police, and they are investigating the incident as terror-related. Credit: Edmonton Police Service via Storyful
