Rain Helping Firefighters with Oregon's Eagle Creek Fire

Officials scaled back evacuation orders for those living around the Eagle Creek Fire on Monday, September 18, as rain swept through the region. There was concern, though, the rain could lead to landslides where the fire had burned, a report said.

The Eagle Creek Fire has burned more than 48,000 acres in the Columbia Gorge and was 32 percent contained on Monday, according to the incident report.
