Comedian's Mockery of Anti-Same Sex Marriage Ad Goes Viral

A comedian’s August 30 video mocking a nationally-televised ad from the “No” campaign of the same-sex marriage postal survey went viral overnight.

Christian Hull, masquerading as a poorly-disguised woman by donning in a blonde wig and speaking in a high-pitched voice, derided the video that was created by anti-marriage equality groups as part of the upcoming postal survey on same-sex marriage.

At time of writing, the video had racked up almost 450,000 views.

The original ad, which first surfaced on August 29, made a number of claims linking same-sex marriage to a loss of rights of parents and “social engineering” in schools; the claims were vehemently denied by the principal of the school the woman in the ad was referring to.

The ad has been a target of parody, with memes and scathing comments doing the rounds on social media. Credit: Facebook/Christian Hull via Storyful
