Cyclist Stumbles Wrong Way Through Sydney Lane Cove Tunnel

A cyclist was caught struggling to remain upright and stumbling the wrong way down a Sydney tunnel before almost getting clipped by a vehicle on July 24.

CCTV footage, released August 14, shows the man cycling up a single lane and weaving onto and open road before falling over. Nine News reported that control room operators spotted the man and sent a crew out to retrieve him until police arrived.

The tunnel was closed for about 40 minutes until the cyclist was taken away. While the man was not charged by police that evening, he could still face up to $2200 worth of fines and suspension from driving any vehicle for nine months. Credit: Transurban via Storyful
