Severe Storm Damages Western New York Farm

The National Weather Service confirmed two tornadoes landed in Western New York on Thursday, July 20. One tornado blew through Hamburg and a second swept through Holland a short time later, according to a news report.

The Hamburg tornado carried an EF-2 ranking with winds at 105 miles per hour. The Holland tornado was ranked EF-1 with winds of 95 miles per hour.

The storm left behind a trail of damage, including downed trees, felled power lines and ripped-off roofs.

The NWS issued severe thunderstorm and tornado warnings in Erie County and into Allegany County about an hour later.
