Man Sought After Carving Swastikas Into Concrete in Brooklyn Jewish Neighborhood

New York City police shared surveillance footage on Wednesday, July 12, showing a man carving as many as 20 swastikas into freshly-poured concrete on a sidewalk in a largely Jewish neighborhood of Brooklyn in the early hours of Saturday, July 8.

Police appealed to the public for information about the man, who also wrote the word “mobundles” in the concrete. They said a second man removed a camera from in front of the location, at 242 Newkirk Avenue. Credit: NYPD via Storyful
