G20 Protesters March Through Hamburg

G20 protesters in Hamburg took to the streets of the city on Friday, July 7, denouncing world leaders’ handling of climate change, the refugee crisis and global inequality.

More than 200 police officers were reportedly injured during clashes with protesters, which saw some people burn cars and street barricades and police use water cannons, pepper spray and tear gas. Protests continued into the early hours of July 9 after the summit closed.
