Winnemucca Ranch Fire North of Reno Burns 2,000 Acres

The Winnemucca Ranch Fire grew to 2,000 acres on July 5, threatening homes and structures north of Reno, Nevada.According to the Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District, the fire, which threatened 58 structures and caused two families and 95 animals to evacuate, was 10 percent contained on Wednesday morning.This video from the Nevada Seismological Lab shows the fire growing overnight on July 4, facing north towards Reno from the Slide Mountain fire camera.
